SHoP Architects needed a fixture that would integrate perfectly with the Hunter Douglas Techstyle ceiling.  We were able to modify the housing of our GB22D2 fixture to allow it to mount into grid, with the lower portion of the housing sitting 1-1/8" below the grid.  The lower housing is wider and longer than the top, allowing us to maintain the 1/4" reveal that is an important feature of the Techstyle ceiling.  Thus, the GB34RCTS fixture was born.

Photometric modeling revealed that additional output was required from the fixture.  Special lens and lamp orientation designs were developed and a physical mockup was provided to the Architect to review performance and glare.  The High Performance model was approved and is now a standard Gammalux product.
